Our facilities on Salt Spring Island offer a 2,200 sqft petcentre building with an office for check-in, indoor and covered outdoor play areas, along with indoor regular crating, personal stalls, and private lodge!

Services & Specialties
​
This Petcentre offers shuttle, grooming, daycare and boarding services for owners and their family companions in need. We also offer rescue/rehoming & adoption services, to view our available animals, apply to adopt, or apply to rehome, please visit our Adoption page!

We specialize in socialization, reactivity, medical recovery, maternity, and hospice; and offer both daycare options and overnight options. Boarding options available at this location include You can also add nails and/or a bath & brush!

Pack Partners
You can join us in supporting the animals we take care of by becoming a Pack Partner! Please apply to join Our Pack Now, you can be a Pack Partner from anywhere in the World!

As a Pack Partner, you can pedge support yourself or raise support for the animals you choose to sponsor, and get achievements along with inside information and weekly photo updates. We offer awards and badges for achievements with pledging/raising support, this includes free tours or video calls with animals you're supporting!

Volunteer Program
Volunteers are crucial in making sure everyone gets the personal care they need and deserve!
Manditory requirements:
- Atleast 10 years of age
- Complete Application & Interview call
- Follow Safety Rules & Instructions
- Commit 2 hours min. Weekly
Internship Program
Interns are next step to becoming apart of the SaltyDog Retreat Team and may collect compensation after 6 months.
Manditory Requirements:
- Atleast 14 years of age
- Be a Volunteer for atleast 6 months.
- Complete Application & Interview
- 4 hours min. Weekly
Youth Mentorship Program
Our new Youth Mentorship program for ages 10 to 18 years of age offers an experience for local youth to learn more about their inner wolf by participating in the care taking of them on-site!
Manditory requirements:
- 10 to 18 years of age
- Complete Application & Waiver
- Follow Safety Rules & Instructions
- Learn and have fun !
